In February, two of the most iconic events in the world, Super Bowl LII and the XXIII Olympic Winter Games, both aired on NBC. In celebration of this rare occurrence, the network launched Best Feb Ever, an interactive fan experience popping up in four cities: New York, Los Angeles, Minneapolis (Super Bowl LII host city), and Philadelphia.

In each city, NBC fabricated large-scale mystery boxes with countdown clocks on their exteriors. Each day crowds gathered as the timer counted down. When they expired, the boxes opened, unveiling amazing surprises, experiences and performances.

Highlights included performances by the B-52’s, Mark Ronson, Andy Grammer, Salt ‘N Pepa, D.J. Jazzy Jeff, air hockey with 1980 Miracle on Ice legend Jim Craig, Olympics trivia with figure staking greats Ashley Wagner and Sasha Cohen, Super Bowl Trivia with Jeremiah Trotter and Super Bowl tickets given away by Vikings Stefan Diggs and Daunte Culpepper.

Additionally, media was provided mystery boxes of their own with a countdown clock padlock which unlocked on Feb 1 to reveal Super Bowl and Olympic Swag.
